Church Overview

Full Gospel Tabernacle exists to bless the community, city and nation in which we are planted. The main church has 4 congregations with services in English, Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and Tamil. We have other branch churches throughout Malaysia as well as UK, Myanmar, India, Sri Lanka, Philippines, Nepal & Bhutan. Our Mission is to fulfill the Great Commission and we believe FGT is called to plant new works and churches wherever God leads. Please refer to our Mission and Vision.

The Graduate Program

We are looking to train and release future leaders to be a blessing to churches and the community. Recent College or University Graduates willing to commit 1 year for training may apply. Our goal is to develop ministerial and managerial capacity to be effective servant-leaders.

The Right Fit

Candidates must have the same ethos and vision of the house. Some of the qualities and competencies we are looking for are:

Program Overview

1. Objectives

To intentionally seek to develop Graduate Interns to be:

  • effective shepherds
  • skilled administrators
  • proficient organizers
  • effective ministers
  • relationally confident

2. Areas of Development

We aim to achieve the above objectives through:

  • hands on ministry skills
  • involvement in the development, maintenance and improvement of the church’s administrative systems
  • the expansion of personal IT skills
  • organizing church events, programs and services
  • training programs, including Tung Ling Seminary subjects
  • involvement as a team leader & team member
  • experience in a multicultural setting

3. Responsibilities & Oversight

The Graduate Intern will be assigned a Staff Mentor, who will discuss and set personal growth objectives which they will evaluate together on a monthly basis. The Mentor would also provide opportunity for the Trainee to discuss any problems or difficulties they might be encountering, as well as provide prayer support. The Graduate intern will report directly to the Mentor. Expectations, responsibilities and tasks will be agreed by the Mentor, with the Senior Pastor.

The Graduate Intern will work in the Church office from 8.30am-5pm, Monday to Fridays, and from 8.30am-1pm on Saturdays. They are also expected to attend church services, Cell Meetings, Prayer Meetings, and other events and training programs.

4. Performance Evaluation

The Graduate Intern will be appraised by his/her Mentor on a quarterly basis according to the agreed expectations, responsibilities and tasks.

5. Special Projects

During the 1 year program, the Graduate Intern may be expected to pioneer a new college or school based-work, under the supervision of the youth pastor or head of department.

During the Graduate Intern’s final 3 months he/she will also be expected to:

  • report their analysis of the church’s operations with suggestions for future improvement
  • organize and oversee a special youth event, with approved budget and proposal

6. Opportunity to further Studies

After the 1 year program, the Graduate Intern will have an opportunity to further his studies in a Masters program, offered by Mattersey Hall, the largest Pentecostal Bible College in Europe, in conjunction with Tung Ling Seminary, Malaysia.

Preference is given to those with a Masters degree. Those who do not possess a basic diploma would normally not be considered.

7. Remuneration Package

The Graduate intern will receive:

  • RM300 in pocket money each week to cover food, transport to/from work and other basic expenses
  • Legitimate travel expenses incurred during office hours will be reimbursed according to FGT’s claim policies
