Once Was Lost
Firstly, I would like to thank my Saviour Lord Jesus Christ for being with me all these years since childhood. He has protected me and guided me through all my trials and difficulties.
The past few years have been busy for me due to my career, to the extent that I could not attend church. As the days passed by, my life was filled with emptiness and I felt I was moving further and further away from God.
One day after spending some quiet time with God, I went to bed. I was feeling extremely tired; I could barely open my eyes that night. I went into a deep sleep. Suddenly out of no where, I heard a voice whispering into my ears. It was very gentle, but I could not understand. But it caused me to open my eyes and when I did so, I was shocked and began to shiver when I saw a white light in front of me. My room was dark and the lights were off then. I immediately prayed the Lord’s Prayer.
After this encounter, I felt peace and a sense of deep restoration with God. That night was a turning point for me and it brought me close to God.
One Sunday morning, God spoke to me to go back to the church I once belonged but had left a long time ago. So I followed His prompting. I was amazed that morning when I stepped into the new building of FGT Sri Damansara. It was the first day of celebration for our new building.
It made me feel like I was in heaven, looking at the beauty of my old church which I left a long time ago. God made me to be a part of His family once again on that special day. I can still remember our pastor greeting me with joy.
As the song Amazing Grace goes…I was once lost but now am found!
