Blessed To Have A Great God
Shalom, and greetings in the name of Jesus Christ! I’m very grateful and blessed to have a great God that never leaves me whether times are good or bad.
Even though I was born to a Christian family and baptized at the age of twelve, my knowledge then was limited, and just as good as the non-Christians actually! It was then when my pride, selfishness, and other worldly things became a norm in my life. And I found out that it is true that when we are far from God, we have to face many problems. I myself felt that my life was not at all peaceful, always burdened with the worries and the hardships of life. Life was really hard.
But soon, everything changed in me when I started attending FGT’s BM service exactly two years ago. This change for the better took place when I became consistent in the prayer meetings. I changed from my unholy lifestyle to living like a true Christian. Along the way, I’ve learnt what it is to be kind, to give my tithes, and to gain knowledge about God through reading His Words. I’m truly grateful because as I drew near to God, He blessed me with many things. For instance, I used to face financial difficulties but now, I always have what I need. It feels so good to be close to God. Many, many good things have happened inside me after knowing Him in more depth. This is why to me, there is nothing better than being close to our Heavenly Father.
Sometimes people say that being a follower of God is harder than being a follower of the world. But to me, it is a greater loss not to follow God despite the difficulties we may face sometimes. Having eternal life is way better than living an easy life now yet having nothing for eternity.
