My family attended the rally on Saturday night where I prayed for my son’s healing. He is 9 years old and has been struggling at school. As he has difficulty focusing and is often forgetful and absent-minded, his teachers had been complaining about his behaviour and suggesting that he be sent for home schooling. At the rally, I encouraged my son to pray for himself and ask God for healing of his condition. The next morning, he was up early and for the first time, I saw him get ready for Sunday School all by himself without any reminder from me. It was so encouraging to see how quickly God brought about such a change, although it may seem small.
That Sunday morning, I shared this testimony with my aunt who is a believer. Although encouraged, she was hesitant to invite her husband to that night’s rally as he was a super dominant character and all his family members were afraid of him. Somehow, my uncle agreed to go because he wanted to see if there is such a God who could heal his eye that had been deteriorating due to a stroke, where many other treatments had failed. As my uncle is a tough nut to crack, the fact that he made it to the stadium was a miracle in itself!
At the rally, although my uncle’s left eyesight was not immediately healed, he responded to the altar call for salvation. Hallelujah!! We never believed that he would accept Christ without his healing taking place. But miraculously, he did!
On the way home from the rally, my uncle shared that he experienced such great heat in his heart even as he accepted Jesus. My aunt said she also felt the heat while praying for her chronic arthritis in her ankles. Indeed, both of them had received a personal touch from God.
I learned the importance of sharing testimonies from this event. We must not hide God’s glory. When we testify, God will bring us more supernatural signs and wonders!
