A few months ago, my dad felt some discomfort when he tried to speak louder. He decided to see an ENT specialist in University Hospital. The specialist did a bronchoscope and found an abnormal growth at his bottom left vocal cord.
Further test was needed, and a biopsy was scheduled. I told my dad we will pray and believe God to heal him supernaturally. This will be a testimony of God’s miraculous power. I shared with my cell members and Saturday morning prayer group to pray for my father. Moreover, as my father is attending the Chinese service, the Chinese group pastor and cell members also prayed along with us. 2 weeks before the scheduled biopsy, the ENT specialist did another bronchoscope. I saw the growth with my own eyes. I told my dad we have to continue to pray and believe God will heal him.
On the day of biopsy, we checked him into the hospital, registered and paid the deposit. As we were walking towards the ward, I received a call from the doctor that the biopsy has to be postponed due to other more urgent cases. I was upset over this, as the next appointment was 1 month later. It created a lot of anxiety in me. But my colleague encouraged and reminded me that we can pray more, and that God can have more time to work on it. 2 weeks before the re-scheduled biopsy date, we went to see the ENT specialist again. When I looked at the screen, my heart dropped because then I can see there were 2 layers of growth! I knew the biopsy must be done to find out what it is. On the re-scheduled biopsy date, my dad was warded in the morning. The anaesthesiologist went through all the procedures, then ENT specialist came. He put in the bronchoscope and was surprised by what he saw. He quickly made a call to his professor. My dad was requested to see the professor. When the professor checked him, she told my dad that he can be discharged immediately because they cannot see any growth at his throat bottom left vocal cord. It’s just a red dot. No biopsy was needed. My dad was discharged that afternoon. I want to thank God for His miraculous healing upon my dad. Indeed, He is our Jehovah-Rapha! The God who heals.
