I was on duty as an altar call worker on 2/7. When Apostle Maldonado asked for leaders to go pray for people, I obeyed, albeit feeling a little nervous. I know God does miracles, but my mind doubted if God could really use me.
I first prayed for a lady by laying hands on her and praying in tongues. Within minutes, she was slain in the Holy Spirit. I was surprised!
I moved on to pray for the next person. In a short while, she was also slain in the Holy Spirit. WOW! WOW! WOW! That was exactly how I felt! God empowered me! I felt so filled with the Holy Spirit; my faith soared and I continued praying for one person after another! The stadium was so thick with the presence of the Holy Spirit.
I prayed for people with deafness; some said their hearing improved. I prayed for a boy who was blinking his eyes incessantly. After a while, he blinked less. It was another WOW for me.
Then I prayed for deliverance! A young Indian girl told me she struggled with witch craft for years. I laid hands on her and prayed as instructed by Apostle Maldonado. She started to cry and shout loudly, fell on her chair and clutched her stomach which was in pain. I shouted and asked some young people behind her to raise their hands and pray together. Finally, she ‘woke up’, so happy that the demon in her has been casted out and went to report her testimony.
Then, Apostle Maldonado asked those who would like to believe in Jesus Christ to stand up. All the young people behind the young Indian girl stood up. I had not realized they were non-believers when I asked them to pray together for her! Well, they witnessed God’s powerful healing!
Seeing and experiencing these, I am so touched. It was a remarkable night for me – a milestone in my spiritual walk with the Lord. My heavenly Father is so real to me. That is awesome!
