2013 is a very significant year for FGT UK. In October, the church, the very first one outside of Malaysia, celebrated her 10th year, an event attended by nearly 200 people, most of whom have in one way or other been touched, challenged and befriended by the vibrant teams of different ministry leaders.
Over the 10 year period, the church has ministered to many international students from Malaysia, China, Philippines and non-white British nationals. 95% of these students have been discipled and released into ministries. Those who have left the UK are still serving in their own countries.
The event itself was full of excitement as everyone was treated with great food, give aways and most of all a wonderful message from the founder, Rev Dr Eu Hong Seng. He encouraged everyone to be strong as FGT aims to serve the Almighty on this side of the world (Europe) from strength to strength. There is a need for everyone to remain strong if we were to make an impact in our immediate surroundings.
The event also saw the ordination of Pastor Rafael Casela, who has been in full time ministry since 2006. “It was a humbling experience,” Pastor Rafael said, after the event.
Pastor Rafael also shared and challenged the people on the 5 year plan for FGT UK.
